The Story of Regain Hearing

2010: A Vision Takes Shape

Regain Hearing was founded in 2010 by Lee Fletcher and Lindsay Stride, both distinguished audiologists with degrees earned in 2005. After several successful years managing hearing aid centres across Kent, Lee and Lindsay saw an emerging issue: high street chains were phasing out at-home patient care for the elderly and vulnerable. Knowing how essential this service was, they decided to go independent, offering personalised, compassionate care to those who needed it most. Their at-home visits quickly became popular, and their relationship with Age Concern UK flourished, earning them the trust of more vulnerable patients, including those with dementia.

2014: Tinnitus Relief & Ground-breaking Service

In 2014, Lee and Lindsay expanded their expertise, developing unique tinnitus treatments tailored to patients’ specific needs. Their passion for innovation led them to create a truly one-of-a-kind service, combining advanced tinnitus care with hearing loss solutions—setting Regain Hearing apart from the rest.

2016: A New Era Begins

In January 2016, Regain Hearing opened its first official clinic in Eltham, London, equipped with state-of-the-art technology to provide comprehensive hearing and tinnitus assessments, as well as microsuction earwax removal. This marked the beginning of a new chapter, offering an even higher level of care to a growing number of patients.

2017: A Global Reach

2017 took Regain Hearing’s mission international. Lee and Lindsay, in collaboration with the Starkey Foundation, travelled to Yerevan, Armenia, where they fitted 1,800 hearing aids in just five days, serving people aged 18 months and up. This incredible feat also involved over 100 audiologists, including 20 from the UK. Their humanitarian efforts were recognised by none other than Elton John, who served as an ambassador for the cause.

2018: Growth & Innovation

2018 was a year of milestones. Lee returned to Armenia for further charitable work, and Regain Hearing officially opened its first Hearing Studio and Innovation Centre in Eltham. This cutting-edge facility became a hub for audiology excellence, offering a variety of specialised services. Later that year, they expanded their presence with a clinic in Broadstairs, one of their busiest sites to date, driven by high demand in the area.

On a personal note, Lee and Lindsay celebrated their wedding at a Starkey Convention in Las Vegas on January 5th, 2018.

2019: Continued Expansion

In 2019, Regain Hearing grew even further. Lee made another trip to Armenia to continue the work started in 2017, and in July, they opened a new clinic in Northfleet, Kent, housed in the historical Old Rectory building. This stunning Grade 2 listed building became a new home for the Regain Hearing team, who continued to provide expert care to local patients.

2020: More Clinics, More Care

2020 was a year of rapid expansion for Regain Hearing. In November, they opened their fourth clinic at The Joiners Shop at The Historic Dockyard in Chatham, Kent. Then, in June, Lee and Lindsay’s home base, Maidstone, became the site of their fifth clinic. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the couple’s commitment to exceptional care and service remained unwavering. The Maidstone clinic became a focal point of their operations, supporting their growing team of audiologists.

2022: Expanding Horizons

By August 2022, Regain Hearing added a clinic in Croydon to its growing network, followed by another in Ramsgate to support the busy Broadstairs location. These additions allowed the team to reach even more patients across the South East, reinforcing their reputation for expert, compassionate care.

The mobile fleet also expanded! With more cars on the road, we now have the ability to treat more patients from the comfort of their own home!

2024: Sevenoaks & Beyond...

In April 2024, Regain Hearing expanded to Sevenoaks, continuing their mission to provide top-notch hearing solutions and personalised care. Lee and Lindsay remained deeply involved in every aspect of their clinics, staying true to their original vision.

2025: The Journey Continues

In 2025, Regain Hearing opened new clinics in Ashford (January) and Folkestone (February), ensuring that even more people across the South East have access to the finest hearing care available.
