Company Director, Principal Audiologist
As Company Director and Principal Audiologist at Regain Hearing, Lee Fletcher is no stranger to the hearing aid industry. He has dispensed private hearing aids for over a decade, qualifying in 2005, where he trained at Amplivox Academy in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This is where he also met his future wife and business partner, Lindsay Stride (RHAD), who was enrolled on the same Audiology training course. The rest, as they say, is history.
Company Director & Consultant Audiologist
Lindsay is a Company Director and one of the Principal Consultant Audiologists at Regain Hearing. She qualified with Distinction at Amplivox Academy in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in 2005, where she met her future husband and business partner, Lee Fletcher. Lindsay has a wonderful way with people. Her personality and kind manner shine through when dealing with her patients — this is matched only by her technical ability.
Regain Hearing was founded by Lee Fletcher and Lindsay Stride in 2010. They both qualified in July 2005, gaining audiology degrees at distinction level. After qualifying, they worked as hearing aid dispensers, successfully managing various hearing aid centres throughout Kent for well-known high street chains.
Lee and Lindsay became concerned when they noticed hearing aid companies had started withdrawing their home-visit patient care. They both understood how much this popular service benefited many patients with age-related hearing loss or mobility problems. The logical decision was made to set up a business of their own to address this issue while giving themselves the freedom to run an independent company and progress their careers.
Their at-home visit service and the compassionate aftercare they provided soon proved incredibly popular. Lee and Lindsay’s warm and caring manner quickly earned them recognition with the charity Age Concern, which entrusted them to deal with their more vulnerable patients, many of whom have dementia. And so a warm affiliation was formed. An exclusive hearing aid exhibition team was formed soon after, running events across Kent. This continues to receive great attention from local communities.
Lee and Lindsay have always been passionate about their work and keeping up with the latest hearing aid technology. Being a truly independent hearing company means they can work with every manufacturer to provide the greatest choice of hearing aids to offer each patient an ideal solution and real options without limitations, something they were not always able to do as employees.
In 2014, the Regain Hearing team developed their own formulas for tinnitus treatment (where patients suffer from unwanted sounds in their ears). Coupled with their specific hearing loss formulas, Lee and Lindsay have built a unique and unrivalled specialist service.
In January 2016, they opened their first Regain Hearing clinic in Eltham, London. This offered specialised services, using state-of-the-art equipment to provide hearing and tinnitus assessments and treatments like microsuction earwax removal.
Skip a few years to June 2018, and Regain Hearing opened its second clinic in the beautiful seaside town of Broadstairs. This was long overdue and in high demand due to hundreds of patients in the area crying out for a local hearing centre. New audiologists were added to the team and the Regain Hearing family continued to grow.
In February 2019, Regain Hearing expanded further by opening a hearing clinic in Northfleet, in The Old Rectory, a stunning historical Grade 2 listed building, joining other established specialist clinics located throughout the building.
Regain Hearing opened its fourth clinic at The Joiners Shop at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, in Kent, in 2021, followed shortly afterwards by the opening of its fifth hearing clinic in Maidstone. A clinic in Croydon soon followed in early 2022 and the latest addition is a clinic in Ramsgate to support the busy Broadstairs practice.
At Regain Hearing, our audiologists believe there is nothing clever or inspiring about solely providing the cheapest hearing aids. Instead, our philosophy is to give true value with great products programmed with expertise and care. Since opening its first clinic, Regain Hearing has gone from strength to strength and often receives media attention for the expertise of its audiologists.
Lee and Lindsay plan to continue Regain Hearing’s home-care hearing service while expanding its portfolio of hearing centres throughout the South East.
